Experience Lofoten: Kayaking, Hiking, and Wild Adventures
We will meet at 10AM at the base for Lofoten Arctic Adventures in Andopen Bay, located on Moskenes Island, which is the most wild and rugged island of Lofoten. Here your multiday kayak adventure starts!
You will meet your guide and go over the plan for the trip. Together you will pack the gear & equipment. Once outfitted into your kayak gear, the kayak will get adjusted and loaded. You will receive basic paddle & safety instructions before leaving Andopen bay. Lofoten is known for its weather, hence no exact day to day route is provided as we have to adapt to the nature & weather of Lofoten. But we always give you the best experience we can with the weather we have.
Together we will explore the surrounding area, kayaking an ocean channel, fjords, between islands, through shallow areas, alongside majestic mountains that rise straight from the ocean. We will visit some stunning beaches, hike to beautiful view points and explore more off the beaten path areas. Whilst learning about the Lofoten history and amazing stories. On average we paddle 15 km a day. This adventure is more than kayaking, it is full of nature, history, geology and wildlife. If we are lucky we might spot an eagle, a seal, an otter or even whales. One never knows what to expect, which makes each day and each trip unique. We finish around 6PM. A kayak adventure you will not forget.
Some previous sea kayaking and hiking experience is great but if you are a beginner with an adventurous spirit and consider yourself to have good arm strength and general good fitness level, this trip is a great option for you too.
We focus on small groups so we can tailor the experience to the group’s fitness level and interests. We provide quality kayak equipment and gear for your comfort and safety.
